Now you can learn to do something that you love and accrue credits towards Nationally Recognised Qualifications at the same time!  

The Painting and Drawing for Beginners Course is more than a foundation course in artistic skills for beginners.  

It also provides the practical studio sessions that are part of our Pre Diploma Bundle of 4 Units of Competency that can contribute to either a Certificate IV or Diploma of Visual Arts.

If you don't want to work towards a Unit of Competency that's ok.   You will still get the best tutoring in painting and drawing skills that Sydney Art School has become renowned for.  

But the option is there for you to qualify for a Statement of Attainment or continue to complete other Units that will lead to the award of a Certificate IV or Diploma qualification.

If you choose to work towards a Statement of Attainment, Certificate IV or Diploma qualification the studio sessions will cover the practical component of of the following units: 

1. CUVPRP401A - Realise a Creative Project (an entry requirement for the Diploma of Visual Arts)
2. CUVPAI301A - Produce Paintings
3. CUVDRA301A - Produce Drawings
4. CUVACD301A - Produce Drawings to Communicate Ideas
