Designed for aspiring photographers, digital imaging students, and creative practitioners, you’ll develop the technical and conceptual abilities to plan, capture, process, enhance, and output high-quality photographic images suitable for publication, display, exhibition, or professional portfolios.
Through hands-on studio and location shoots, guided editing sessions, and project-based learning, master key industry techniques including
image composition and capture,
using depth of field creatively
working with light,
digital post-processing & editing,
colour management,
camera operation & the exposure triangle.

For General Artistic Skills students this course is ideal for personal growth or a visual arts career path.
For Diploma stream students, progress toward building a portfolio and meeting performance criteria for Units of Competency including to achieve a Photography Specialisation in your qualification;

Students who complete a Diploma of Visual Arts will also be awarded with a Specialisation in Photography by completing the units marked in the table below. The specialisation will be listed in the students Testamur.
