Frequently asked questions

Are beginners welcome?

Yes. Most courses are offered at Beginner to Intermediate level, and courses such as Sculpture are run in small classes that the course page describes as perfect for beginners.

Do I need to bring my own materials?

It depends on the course. Your tutor will let you know what you need, and if you already have materials, bring them to your first class. For example, Essential Drawing Skills suggests a few pencils (HB, 2B, 4B), a kneadable eraser and an A3 visual diary. Sculpture fees don’t include materials, but the school provides basic tools, stands and turntables to use in class. Check each course page for details.

Where are classes held?

At our Baulkham Hills and Hornsby studios. Some courses run at only one studio, so check the course page or the Master Timetable.

How long is a term?

Adult art courses run for 8 weeks each term. Classes aren’t held on public holidays or from Good Friday through Easter Monday. See Term Dates for the current calendar.

How do I enrol?
