Christina left her role as a Commercial Operations Manager in the end of 2011 to pursue intensive training in drawing and painting.
She is currently building a career as a portrait artist and painter of bespoke commissions.
Her main focus is on portraiture, working mostly from life, using oils in the Alla Prima method. She enjoys the challenge of capturing the observable, the hidden and the inferred, as evidenced in a sitter’s face and environment.
While classically trained in Sydney and London, she adds her own expressive touches to her works – combining the real with the imagined and experiments with different media. She also paints landscapes, still life and large abstract works.
As an art teacher Christina conveys a genuine love of art and care for her student’s development.
