Studio Overview
This spacious 2 level facility is the main studio for Sydney Art School. It is equiped to offer art classes in drawing, painting, jewellery making and printmaking. and painting classes for adults.
Drawing & Painting Equipment
Studio grade lighting and an extensive collection of artist quality plaster cast busts, statues, and anatomical models provide a best in class environment for students to extend their skills in drawing and painting. Approximately 48 easels are available through the studio.
Jewellery Making & Printmaking
Two large printing presses are available for supervised use for printmaking students. The studio also has well equiped jewellery workshop with extensive tools and multiple workbenches.
Audio Visual & Computing Facilities
Large-screen digital monitors are in use throughout the studio to enable teachers to present learning material or show close up work in demonstrations.
A set of Apple Mac computers are available for students to progress their online assessment tasks.
Parking & Transport
The studio is a short 500 metre walk from Hornsby Station.
Limited 2 hour street parking is available on Hunter st and nearby streets.
Car parking is also available at Westfield Hornsby – 400 metres from the studio.
