Structural concepts such as planes and construction as well as tonal drawing techniques. Observation of shapes and the identification of the unique character of each model/photo will be taught as a means of capturing a likeness.

Basic Materials
– a selection of pencils (e.g. HB, 2B, 4B) & sharpener or sharpening knife
– kneadable eraser
– visual diary (A3 size recommended)

Your tutor will advise other specialised materials needed

What do I need to bring to class?
If you already have some materials don’t feel the need to rush out and buy any more. Just bring them to your first class and your tutor will give advice on what additional materials you will need.
If you don’t have any materials the resource kits in the shop provide the essential materials with good quality at an affordable price.
When you order online the kit will be prepared and be ready for you at your next class (please allow 2 days notice).
