Artist Statement

Working across a diverse range of printmaking mediums, my practice is largely focused on studio-based explorations of the figure and ground – this starts with a model or source material and is slowly adapted through a process of addition, subtraction and reworking.

I’ve always held a long fascination with psychology and the intersection of culture, unconscious drives, and physiological symbolism that is expressed through the human form. As such, many of my works see individuals represented in a narrative context that can incorporate the intersection of history, philosophy, literature and contemporary culture.
