Many people are unaware of the great contributions made by the Islamic world to the West. Numerous Western artists have been influenced by Islamic art and architecture. Over two days , students will learn about the historical, decorative and symbolic elements of Islamic art while creating a Mandala T-shirt print, an ornate bowl or vase and a symbolic painting using watercolours, gouache or acrylic paints.

All art materials are provided. Students are to bring an art smock or an old shirt and lunch. Numbers are limited to 12 for the group so be quick to sign up!!
