Sophie Al-Bazouni is an artist from Sydney who specialises in acrylic portraits. Under the artist name SOPHIEAYE, she has created works revolving around Hip Hop culture, being influenced heavily by the music itself, and figures in pop culture. Sophie's work is often dark, with use of heavy shadows and subtle highlights. Sophie continually aims to further her practice through exploring different mediums and techniques.
Sophie is currently studying a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Honours) at UNSW Art and Design. She has exhibited in a number of group shows and had her first solo exhibition last year. She is currently working on her second solo show for March 2017.
