Matthew Kentmann

The NSW Coast is a source of inspiration and a point of departure for my practice.

Matthew is an Honours Graduate of College of Fine Arts, a finalist in the Archibald Prize in 2015 and has also been a finalist in the Dobell & Moran Prizes, a teacher at a private school in Sydney, and dad to 2 young kids.

His style is minimalist and subtle - and shows mastery in how an artist can see and communicate the soul of his subject in a simple but powerful way.

Matthew continues to draw, paint and produce works for solo exhibitions.  We are suprised that he finds the time to also teach at Sydney Art School but glad that he does!
